Hidden Blade Custom Blade 0 by RavenDarkness7 Hidden Blade Custom Blade 0 by RavenDarkness7
So :iconicedsteelwolf: and I (mostly him) cut my blade out and shaped it and such today! Yays its all done!! <33 And the blade only "looks sharp" its actually rather dull so I don't accidentally bump someone and they get hurt. Much much later down the road I'm thinking of making another blade and etching designs in it. O.o =3

Please donít go around stabbing people and such this is purely for cosplay, I'm in no way responsible for your actions, or what you do with this design.

Don't you have a video on how to make this? A Written tutorial or Picture tutorial is a little hard don't you think? La la la la

Not really with as much detail as there is in the wording and pictures do just the same as a video hun, plus I put on all of it if anyone has any questions at all feel free to ask me. I only have a video of how it looks when its in motion. At the time of this build my computer did not have the video editing capability to do a stop and start video or edit out any messups. And I do not wish to make another hidden blade as I have many myself. XP

If you have many, why not sell one to me? HEhehe Just kidding. I don't want you to have problems with shipping and payment.
I, with user ~xCrosSxKnInE, have been finding tutorials for hidden blades and yours is very promising than the rest of what we found.

Though, a bit costly on my end since I'm still a sophomore college student, I really like to get one for myself. Cosplay and/or self defense(mostly cosplay) because in these times, somethings are unexpected(YOLO). Know what I mean?

Lol yeah I was about to say I'm not sure if they'd let me ship a homemade (essentially) functional weapon like that. O.o XD
That's how I ended up making my tut for it, I found (or lack thereof) hardly any good/useful tutorials on the hidden blade, granted mine isn't the exact replica but it's a much less complex way of making one.

Lol really it shouldn't run you over $30 but that's assuming you already have tools such as the dremmel, which if you don't those can be rather costly. The most expensive item negating the tools is the drawer slider ran me around $11, but came with two. I made mine when had just graduated high school, so I can empathize about the money issue. Lol whatever you do with your hidden blade I shall not be held accountable for. XD

Pfft! Of course not! You will be credited for the concept and idea and not of whatever action sparked of self defense.
And I saved your written tutorial on an MS Word Document. So in case I'll get help from a friend, we have your instructions ^_^

The resources may take a while before I get the chance to make one so I'm just gonna lay back for a while. And when things are easier, I'll make the blade :)
Also, my currency is Philippine Peso. So yeah, poverty is just around the corner for me :(

XD Lol well alright then. XP I love to see the models people make using my tut as a guideline or to the letter. ^^ Alright cool. ^^
I also made custom bracers to go with my blades and the materials used are even more inexpensive than the blade's materials and they make the blades look great when added to one another if your going for a whole costume and want a cheap effective way to make leather looking items. =3

Awesome. =3 Oh okay sorry about that. =/

Is it auto open and close? Also does it have a decent locking mechanism?

To extend the blade you flex your hand/wrist (as if you're holding up your hand to say stop to someone), and it closes when you unflex your hand/wrist or slip the keyring off your finger. And the locking mech is decent enough, really its only a little crook of metal that catches the keyring, and when you over flex your hand/wrist it will be released from the locking mech.

Hey, Raven, I have a question regarding about this design, to be honest I've been, reading this post, over and over and over again for almost over a month now, I even have it on my bookmarks, I'm going to go for this design, I might build it in few weeks but, I have looked over your video in YouTube with this design and I just noticed that the blade is short, is there anyway we can make it longer?
I have seen many in Sinza ( I don't know if you are there, or you know it ) but this one is pretty much easier than the others, I Just want a simple DAOTF design.

Thanks for the beautiful design thou, and the tutorial :D

Well cut it to match the mount so the tip pokes over the edge just a bit. Mine's rather short because I'm a small person = small arms. XD But if you mean have the blade extend further out from your wrist but still have the blade concealed when its not extended then you'd have to look into the designs that are actually like Ezio's where its a short blade but with multiple extender tracks that make the blade push out much further. Am I making any sense. XD

Snazzy. I bet this took a while to make!

Anyway, good job. Although, I must admit; I did get distracted by the little toy, or whatever it is, at the far left of the screen.

...what IS that, anyway? xD

I made one of those a number of years ago... i put the spring in the wrong place and forgot to use something hold the blade into the piece, and when i tested it, the blade shot out... decided that making concealed spring loaded weapons was not my thing.
This is wicked. I hope it works better than my sad attempt.
